Registration of Interest: Space Explorers Day/Dark Matter Day at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory
In celebration of World Space Week, STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL) will be hosting a Space Explorers Day on Friday 5 October 2018 in partnership with the Satellite Applications Catapult, and Dark Matter Day on Wednesday 31 October 2018. The days will start at 10:00 and end at 14:15. Both events are for pupils in Years 5 and 6.
RAL has been involved in over 200 space missions and so is the perfect place to get pupils excited about space and dark matter. Both of these events will consist of a demonstration-packed show, a carousel of hands-on activities and a tour of the night sky in our inflatable planetarium.
As many of our events are oversubscribed, once registration closes, places will be allocated to schools on a random basis. Registration of interest for both events closes on Thursday 6 September 2018, and schools will be notified whether they have been allocated a place on Friday 7 September 2018.
If you have any questions about either of these events, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
